Student ID Card Policy

All students are required to have a Student Identification Card (Student ID). Student ID cards provide personal identification on campus; access to facilities, equipment rentals, library books; admittance to student sponsored events; records for attendance; and used for document pick-up.

The student ID card remains the property of FIMS. Services rendered by the card are non-transferable to other individuals; only the cardholder can access student privileges at the campus. Unauthorized use or altering of the card in any way, including using another student’s card or allowing someone else to use one’s card, may resultin disciplinary action. FIMS reserves the right to confiscate student ID cards when use is deemed inappropriate.

Upon admission and enrolment, each student is issued a photo identity card after registration and payment of the balance due.

In order to receive an ID card, students must bring:

  • A government-issued photo identification (CNIC or passport)
  • Proof of tuition and card issuance fees payment

Students are welcome to visit the Information Center desk to take their ID picture to receive their Student ID card. Processing of ID Card data and provisioning of the card might take at least two weeks. 

Immediately report a lost, damaged or stolen card and request a replacement by completing the Lost/Stolen and Replacement Request form and submitting it to the Information Center desk. Replacement fees are tiered beginning at a Rs. 250 fee for first time, Rs. 500 for second and Rs. 1,000 for third report.

All fees are paid to the Department of Accounting Services prior to replacement, and student must be enrolled at the College.

Damaged or defaced ID cards will be confiscated and must be replaced at the student’s expense.

Student identification cards remain the property of FIMS. Only the named cardholder has privilege use. Services rendered by the card are non-transferable to other individuals.
